Brenda Hickey

Brenda joined Standard Title in March 2021 as the company’s Controller, bringing 30+ years of accounting experience and commitment to the highest professional standards of accounting. She began her accounting career in banking and then transitioned to a fortune 500 company. The last 20 years, she found her passion working with small businesses in the Raleigh area providing bookkeeping services. During this time, Brenda has worked with various law firms, financial advisors, real estate, architects, engineers, construction, and retail companies. Brenda is also Controller for a packaging business that her and her husband stared in 2000. She served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for several years for her son’s ice hockey team, the Raleigh Thunder.

Brenda is a graduate of Grossmont College, San Diego (A.A, business/accounting) and is originally from California.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and teaching yoga classes. When Brenda’s not crunching numbers, you can find her on her yoga mat.
